Open Activities?

If you have any software update activities open on the t:connect portal, you will need to complete them prior to updating for the bolus feature.

Prepare to Update

Once you’ve completed your online training, an email will be sent to you with instructions on next steps. Please make sure to:

  • Save the Update ID and Serial Number listed within the email
  • Have supplies ready, you might have to load a new cartridge before updating

Note: For more detailed information about loading a new cartridge on the t:slim X2 insulin pump, please see this article from our Support Center.

Note: This instructional email will come from noreply@tandemdiabetes.com. If you do not receive it within two hours, please check your email's spam folder or another email that we may have on file for you.

Note: If you have an active continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor session when you start the update process, you will need to restart the session again on your t:slim X2 insulin pump after the update is complete. The update process will NOT stop the sensor session, and you will not need to enter your transmitter ID again. When your pump asks if you have a sensor code, tap SKIP. Your pump should backfill any data missed during the update and you can continue to view your Dexcom G6 CGM data on the Dexcom mobile app during the update process.

Load a New Cartridge?

If your current pump cartridge has 80 units of insulin or more, then you only need to refill the tubing and cannula. You do not need to load a new cartridge.
