To ensure and maintain system compatibility while using the Tandem Mobi mobile app, please establish the following smartphone settings:
- We recommend disabling automatic operating system updates. If you update to an incompatible operating system on your smartphone, the Tandem Mobi insulin pump will continue to deliver insulin as programmed with Control-IQ technology. However, you will lose the ability to control or program your pump through the Tandem Mobi mobile app.
- We recommend that you do not use the Screen Zoom feature. If you use Screen Zoom, you should not use the information displayed in the Tandem Mobi mobile app to make treatment decisions.
- We recommended that you do not use the Power Saving Mode. The mobile app has not been designed to operate optimally with low power settings.
- We recommend that you enable notifications and keep the mobile app running in the background on your smartphone to receive pump alerts, alarms, and notifications
- To use the mobile app, you’ll need to enable your smartphone’s security settings (e.g., a PIN, a fingerprint, or facial recognition)
