Software Update for t:slim X2™ Insulin Pumps

Basal-IQ™ Technology with Dexcom G6® CGM Integration

Released in August 2018  |  Prescription and online training required.

Things to know before you update:

  • Basal-IQ™ Technology only works with the Dexcom G6® CGM System. Your t:slim X2™ Pump will no longer be compatible with the Dexcom G5® Mobile CGM System following this update. If you have G5 supplies you plan to use, we recommend postponing this update until you are ready to switch to the new Dexcom G6 CGM System.
  • You need your unique Update ID Code to update your pump. This update requires a prescription and completion of online training before you can receive your code. If you don't have your code, you can start the process here.

About Basal-IQ Technology

Basal-IQ Technology helps reduce the frequency and duration of low-glucose events by predicting glucose levels 30 minutes ahead and suspending insulin if they are expected to drop below 80 mg/dL. Insulin delivery resumes as soon as sensor glucose values begin to rise. Basal-IQ Technology uses sensor data from the Dexcom G6 continuous glucose monitoring system.
If you are unsure if your pump is eligible for this update or have questions about the process before you start, please call Customer Technical Support at (877) 801-6901 for assistance.
