Kim Blickenstaff

President and Chief Executive Officer

Kim joined Tandem in August 2007, bringing more than 30 years of healthcare experience in finance, marketing management, sales and strategic planning. Prior to joining Tandem, he was Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Biosite Incorporated, a medical diagnostic company that was acquired by Inverness Medical Innovations for $1.8 billion in June 2007. Prior to founding Biosite, he held various finance, operations, research management, sales management, strategic planning and marketing positions with Hybritech Incorporated and Baxter Healthcare.
 
Kim has been active in the medical device and diagnostics industry over the last 12 years, serving on the board of directors for innovative, young healthcare companies such as SenoRx and MediVation Incorporated. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago's Graduate School of Business.

Paul DiPerna

Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Paul has more than 25 years of progressive experience in complex electro-mechanical systems, technical management and business management. Prior to forming Tandem, he was Senior VP of Technology and Operations at Hepahope, a startup company developing liver dialysis systems for end stage liver failure patients. Prior to that position, he worked at Baxter Healthcare for 14 years where he held progressive management positions; first as a Technologist for cell separation systems, then as Program Manager of the largest and most complex system Baxter had undertaken, next as Director of Business Development in the corporate technology group, and finally as General Manager of Digital Dental Sciences, a Connecticut-based startup within the organization.

Paul received a Masters in Engineering Management from Northeastern University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

John Cajigas

Chief Financial Officer

John joined the Company in May 2008, bringing 20 years of healthcare experience in finance and administration. Prior to joining Tandem, he was Vice President, Finance of Biosite Incorporated, a medical diagnostics company acquired by Inverness Medical Innovations for $1.8 billion in June 2007. He helped guide Biosite through its initial public offering in 1997 and was responsible for managing the Company's worldwide finance functions and internal control structure. As the Company expanded its commercial operations, he also facilitated the implementation and monitoring of new financial, logistical and reporting processes, which spanned over multiple departments.

Prior to joining Biosite in 1995, John worked as an Audit Manager for Ernst & Young LLP in San Diego. While at Ernst & Young, his clients were primarily in the technology and biotechnology industries. He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from San Diego State University.

Bob Anacone

Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Bob joined Tandem in February of 2009 as Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing and is responsible for strategic planning and product commercialization.

Prior to joining the Company, he was Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing & Sales, then Senior Vice President and General Manager of Biosite Incorporated, a medical diagnostic company that was acquired by Inverness Medical Innovations for $1.8 billion in June 2007. Prior to joining Biosite, Anacone was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of MediSpectra, a privately held medical device company developing proprietary optical detection technology for cancer and other human tissue abnormalities. Prior to MediSpectra, Anacone held senior marketing and sales positions at Perceptive Biosystems, Serono Diagnostics, Gene-Trak Systems and Hybritech Incorporated and held sales positions at Ortho Diagnostics, Abbott Laboratories and Squibb Pharmaceuticals.

Bob received his Bachelor’s of Science in Economics from the University of Hartford.

Mike Rosinko

Vice President, Engineering

Mike joined Tandem in November, 2007 and has worked closely with the Company since its founding. In this role, he is responsible for project management, product development, engineering management, design controls and risk analysis. He has 25 years of experience in product development, including blood separation and processing systems, cardiovascular catheters, ultrasonic transducers, pacemakers, fiber optic systems, optical sensors and lasers. He has extensive experience in the development of complex control algorithms. Prior to joining Tandem, he held positions including Vice President of Engineering for CardioGenesis, Sr. Project Manager for The Aubrey Group, and R&D Project Manager for Biosense Webster.

Mike holds a Masters of Business Administration from Claremont Graduate University, a MSEE from the University of Southern California, and a BSEE from University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated cum laude. In addition, he holds 10 patents in medical systems and devices.

Erik Verhoef

Vice President, Strategy and Market Research

Erik Verhoef, Vice President, Strategy and Market Research, Erik is responsible for strategic planning and the Company's market research and analytics. Prior to joining Tandem, he served as Director of Commercial Analysis at Biosite Incorporated. In addition, he worked in various brand marketing and analytics roles with GlaxoSmithKline and Bristol-Myers Squibb, helping launch such notable multi-billion dollar brands as Abilify, Wellbutrin XL, Boniva and Advair. Prior to his career in pharmaceutical marketing, he held equity research positions with William Blair & Company and Susquehanna Financial, where he was the lead analyst covering the pharmaceutical sector. He was a founding member of the Advisory Board's Implementation Center in Washington, D.C. and began his career as a healthcare consultant with Tiber Group in Chicago, IL.

Erik holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and certificate in Health Services Management from Duke University and a BA in European History from Northwestern University, where he was a Clarence Dewitt Hardy Scholar. He is a member of the ADA.
